Simply do this by pressing F8 at the start go into safe mode and log in. From this locate the root of the avast anti-virus software. This should be located under mycomputer>localC>program files> avast. From that you want to go into that folder and delete all the core files. Hope it helps :) Try running your computer in safe mode.
